Garden Waste collections return.

Author: Today (1st Feb) sees garden waste collections reinstated for residents of Rother. Thank-you for bearing with us and understanding the need to cancel the garden waste collections through the bad weather conditions experienced in January. There are now many electrical products on the market that reduce the impact on the environment. Take a look at the recycle now website http://www.recyclenow.com/
Eco products are sustainable products which use ways to reduce their environmental impact. Several ways of doing this are:
- use recycled materials - like plastics and metal
- reduce the energy they use
- adjust the energy they use to suit different tasks
- reduce the size, weight or packaging i.e. less materials used
- be made to last longer
- be repaired easily
- generate their own energy i.e. solar power or wind-up
- contain less harmful chemicals
- be taken apart easily for recycling
I’m particular impressed with the mobile phone which has a solar pannel to charge the phone and the casing is made from recycled plastic bottles, it also has a built in pedometer which calculates how much C02 emissions have been reduced by walking instead of taking the car.
